I know that I torture my jeans. Well, all my clothes, for that matter. I'm your regular Geneva Convention defier when it comes to laundry. I certainly am not a laundry buff and typically shove all my clothes in the minimal number of loads as possible, merely to save the $1.25 of doing an additional load. Sad, I know. Especially since in the long run, I'm probably spending much more than that on new clothes to replace the ones I ruined in the wash. I do separate darks and lights, but that's about it. I also don't normally think about what my detergent can do, but am now realizing they can do more than just clean and make your clothes smell good. Who knew that there were things to make your clothes less wrinkly or to avoid shrinking (I thought that was just in the dryer!)? My grandma would be so sad if she knew the extent of my ignorance on the subject.
Anyway, I got some samples of Woolite dark and tested them out. It worked pretty well! My jeans are definitely more their original color than they have been and feel more like jeans. They actually also do feel more the size they were before being washed, allowing me to skip the whole pulling and stretching and tugging process to get them on, and then relying on my belt to hold them in place until they stretch out to normal again. Thank God for belts.
These black jeans are especially thankful that I discovered Woolite. They were getting pretty faded, but now they can keep going strong! |

Happy laundering! :)
